Looking forward to another fun-filled weekend made work week fly by, thankfully. We did get a couple fun dinners out with my dad while he was in town for work, too. And although the weather was fairly icky, we had a fun dinner on Friday at Bocca Lupo with my brother and SIL for her birthday. You should try their pasta — every dish we had was demolished. I was able to get in one photo session for an adorable 6 month old little lady (thank God for indoor sessions when the weather is so unpredictable right now!), and we also celebrated one of my oldest college friends and her fiance at their Stock the Bar Shower. We may have ended the night with a trip to Shake Shack… I’ll blame our friends. 😉 And after months of talking about it, we finally had our neighbors over for a delicious smoked pork dinner, complete with Craig’s homemade dessert — Krispy Kreme bread pudding! So bad, but so good.

We had such a great weekend — and for once, it didn’t feel like it flew by! We had a fun Mexican dinner date with 2 friends who are about to have their first baby next month. Valentine’s Day was spent doing some shopping (and hanging the new prints I bought for the house!), and eating 3 delicious meals together. Our dinner at Agave was so very good – I love their meatloaf and southwestern mac n cheese, and the key lime pie was so good that I didn’t want to share. I also appreciated that they didn’t require a pre-set menu for the holiday.

I had a newborn session on Sunday with the most adorable first-time parents and their son Carter. I just loved his nursery — can’t wait to share it over on MHP! We finished off the weekend with homemade chorizo and veggie/bean-stuffed poblano peppers. The house smelled like a Mexican restaurant all night – but in a good way! 😉

What gorgeous weather we had last weekend!! It was so nice to just catch up on tv and be sort of lazy. We had a very “dude” date on Saturday — dinner at Hooters (I must admit – I love their grilled cheese and curly fries) and then we saw “American Sniper,” which was really great. It gave a really visual, touching representation of how much our soldiers sacrifice on a daily basis, and I am now even more grateful for everything they do to protect our country.

I wrapped up the weekend with a fun spring line debut from Stella & Dot. I just love hosting friends and customers for my new collection trunk shows, and this was no exception. My friend’s 5 year old daughter was IN LOVE with the Pegasus Necklace and tried bargaining with me about dropping the price for some of our other statement necklaces that she was eyeing. Such a hoot! We told her she could do some yard work in exchange, but she politely declined. 😉

What a fun weekend in the midst of an otherwise cold, blustery month! We were invited to our friends’ engagement party/oyster roast in Charleston, so we and several friends made a little weekend trip out of it. We were fortunate enough to stay at our friend’s aunt’s home downtown, and we had the best time. Lots of delicious food, some good shopping on King St, and some Charleston nightlife, and the most fabulous engagement party at a beautiful home on the water in Mt. Pleasant. Craig shucked and ate about a year’s worth of oysters, which I hear were fantastic. Also — how in the world is February here already?!
